Sound Trap is a computer based setup used to create unique soundscapes that can be used in production and live sets.
Often I struggle to find inspiration when I work in a studio. I get more ideas when I’m out and about, when I listen to sounds mourned me. I created the Sounds Trap to help me generate new musical ideas using inputs from the environment that surrounds me.
In order to easily carry around the Sound Trap and use it anywhere, the whole setup is USB powered. The sounds are captured by the microphone, trap in loops by the computer and finally modulated live via MiDi controllers. Original soundscapes are generated by layering sounds captured at different frequencies.
